Rangers Footballer Dujon Sterling Faces Court on Drink Driving Charges

Dujon Sterling, a defender for Rangers, has made a court appearance to address charges of reckless driving and operating a vehicle under the influence. The 26-year-old is accused of speeding excessively through various roads in Glasgow's city center on January 4. According to the allegations, Sterling endangered other road users by driving into their path and losing control of his vehicle, leading to a charge of dangerous driving. On the same date, he is also facing a second charge related to driving while intoxicated. Notably, Sterling had participated in a match against Celtic the day before, with Rangers emerging victorious with a score of 3-1. It is alleged that Sterling's breath contained 60 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters, exceeding the legal limit of 22 micrograms per 100 milliliters. During his appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Sterling did not enter a plea. The case has been postponed by Sheriff Jonathan Guy until May 5 for a further hearing at the same court.
