Ben Woolliss Set for Sky Sports Return After Electrifying ONE Debut

Following his remarkable debut in the ONE Championship, British fighter Ben Woolliss is scheduled to compete again on May 16, with the event broadcast live on Sky Sports. Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing match at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand, which will be aired on Sky Sports in the early hours of Saturday, May 16. This upcoming bout on ONE Fight Night 43 will see Woolliss go head-to-head with a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion, Petchfergus. Despite battling long-term health issues, Woolliss, hailing from Grimsby, recently signed with ONE and made his promotional debut just last month. He accepted his first fight on short notice, merely nine days, and took on former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in a featherweight kickboxing contest. Lineker is infamous for his formidable punching power, but Woolliss secured a spectacular one-round stoppage victory over him, defeating "Hands of Stone" with a series of damaging low kicks. The main event on May 16 features Chinese star Tang Kai as he defends his ONE featherweight MMA world title for the second time against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. Tang Kai has been on a tear, dominating every featherweight MMA fighter in his path, while Gasanov boasts a near-flawless record, leveraging his potent stand-up arsenal, grappling prowess, and submission expertise to overwhelm opponents. After avenging his only career loss, "The Cobra" is poised to strike and may be unstoppable.
