Stokes Denies Rumors of Rift with Coach McCullum

England captain Ben Stokes has rejected claims that he and head coach Brendon McCullum are at odds, emphasizing that their differences in opinion are a natural and necessary aspect of a successful sporting partnership. "We see eye-to-eye about 95 percent of the time, and when we don't, we talk it through and find a way forward. "The idea that we're not aligned is a gross exaggeration." Stokes and McCullum are now focused on helping England bounce back from their Ashes defeat with a strong performance in their upcoming home Test series against New Zealand and Pakistan. Stokes expressed his desire for their partnership to continue beyond the summer and into 2027, with the goal of achieving redemption in the Ashes. "Given what Brendon and I have accomplished with the team over the past four years, I couldn't imagine working with anyone else," Stokes added.
