Garnacho Reflects on Manchester United Departure: 'I Made Mistakes'

Alejandro Garnacho has spoken candidly about his exit from Manchester United, acknowledging that he made errors during his final six months at the club. After United's Europa League final loss to Tottenham, Garnacho's brother claimed he had been unfairly treated by Amorim. When asked if he regrets his departure from Old Trafford, Garnacho expressed mixed feelings, stating, 'Maybe yes, because I loved that club. They gave me confidence from the start, bringing me from Spain to the academy and then to the first team.' He recalled his final six months at United, saying, 'I was not playing like before, and I started to be on the bench, which is not a bad thing, but in my mind, I had to play every game.' Garnacho admitted, 'Maybe it's also on me, I started to do some bad things.' Despite this, he expressed pride in his decision to join Chelsea, saying, 'I am really proud to be here and still in the Premier League at a club like this.' Garnacho emphasized that he holds no grudges against United, the club, or his former teammates, considering his departure as a natural part of life. Amorim reflected on Garnacho's departure, saying, 'You can understand and you can see he's a really talented boy, and sometimes things don't work out.'
