The win marked England's 34th consecutive Test victory, with Bern scoring two tries and Amy Cockayne, Jess Breach, and Ellie Kildunne each contributing one. Although the team secured a bonus-point win in front of a record-breaking crowd of 77,120 at Allianz Stadium, Jones recognized that their performance was not flawless. 'There were naturally some nerves going into this major campaign, following our remarkable World Cup win,' Jones explained. 'We aimed to perform in front of large crowds, and we achieved that today. We found our footing, which is a hallmark of a winning team. I'm sure we'll refine our performance, but I'm incredibly proud of the girls.' Jones led the team for the first time, taking over from World Cup-winning captain Zoe Stratford, who is currently pregnant with her first child. Bern noted that the team's new lineup, featuring several young players, was always likely to take time to gel. 'We have a new combination of players, and we're introducing many youngsters. We didn't expect perfection, and we knew it would take time,' Bern said. 'There were aspects of our game that we're thrilled about, and others that we'll definitely review. However, the electric atmosphere in the stadium was a huge boost, and it helped us push through to victory.'
