Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to resign from his position as head coach of Catalans Dragons, a role he held for nearly a year, citing personal reasons. The former England international found it challenging to be away from his family and, after a recent period at home, chose to step down. Tomkins initially took on the role as an interim coach but was later appointed permanently. He expressed his gratitude for the experience and friendships formed during his time at the club, stating that he has grown both personally and professionally. However, the distance from his family proved to be a significant challenge. Tomkins will be replaced by Ryan Sheridan, alongside assistant coaches Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, as interim head coach for the team's upcoming game against Warrington Wolves on April 18.
