Player, while sympathizing with Woods' chronic pain, emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health and safety, particularly when it comes to driving. 'If I or anyone in this room had to endure the excruciating pain that Tiger Woods has been experiencing for a long time, we would understand his struggles,' Player said. He advised Woods to consider hiring a chauffeur to avoid driving while taking medication. Nicklaus also offered words of encouragement, stating that golf needs Woods and hopes for his return to the sport. Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley expressed the organization's support for Woods' decision to focus on his well-being, and wished him the best in his recovery.
