Arne Slot: I have the full backing of Liverpool
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has reiterated that he feels completely supported by the club and its fans, despite the team's recent poor run of form. The Reds have lost three consecutive games, including a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-final and a 4-0 loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup. However, Slot insists that he has the backing of the club's hierarchy and supporters. 'I feel a lot of support, not only from the owners but also from the fans,' Slot said. 'When we were in Paris after a 4-0 loss, the fans were still singing and clapping for us. That support has been constant.' Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League, just one point ahead of Chelsea in sixth. The Reds face Fulham on Saturday, and Slot is focused on securing a top-five spot to ensure Champions League football next season. 'We want to have that chance next season, so we have to perform in the league as well,' he added. The return of club-record signing Alexander Isak from injury is a welcome boost for the team, and Slot is hopeful that he can make a significant impact. 'To have him back is really nice,' Slot said. 'It was only 15 minutes, but it's good to have him back, and hopefully, we can grow his minutes.'
