Six-Week Suspension for Sale Hooker Jibulu Following Biting Incident
Sale Sharks hooker Nathan Jibulu has been handed a six-week suspension after being found guilty of biting Harlequins prop Will Hobson during their recent Champions Cup match. The incident took place in the 69th minute of the game at Twickenham Stoop, where Sale secured a 26-17 victory over Quins. The 23-year-old Jibulu faced a potential 12-week ban but received a reduced sentence due to his guilty plea, apology, youthful age, and clean disciplinary history. In response to the incident, Sale released a statement saying: "Nathan has acknowledged his wrongdoing and both the player and the club agree that his behavior was inexcusable. "We firmly believe our players should always conduct themselves as role models, and such actions have no place in rugby or society. "While the club will initiate its own internal disciplinary proceedings, we will provide Nathan with full support during this challenging time. "The club is committed to upholding the values of the sport and will take necessary actions to ensure our players adhere to the highest standards of behavior."
