QPR and Bristol City Play Out Goalless Draw

QPR and Bristol City continued their recent unbeaten streaks with a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road. The Robins, now under the interim charge of Roy Hodgson, have not lost since his appointment and have won their first two matches. QPR, meanwhile, are unbeaten in five matches and welcomed back Rumarn Burrell from injury. In the first half, Bristol City looked more threatening, with Scott Twine's half-volley being the best chance, but Joe Walsh was able to make the save. At the other end, Kieran Morgan's shot went wide, and Richard Kone's header was saved by Radek Vitek. After the interval, Walsh pushed away a shot from Twine, and Paul Smyth sliced a shot wide. QPR head coach Julien Stephan made changes to his forward line, bringing on Burrell and Daniel Bennie, but they were unable to make an impact. Bristol City have kept back-to-back clean sheets under Hodgson and looked solid and well-organized. The match ended with no notable chances, and the lack of quality was summed up when Tomi Horvat over-hit a pass in stoppage time. Both coaches agreed that the result was fair, with QPR's Stephan praising his team's effort and Bristol City's Hodgson saying that the teams cancelled each other out.
