Nathan Aspinall has secured his fourth European Tour title, defeating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix. Aspinall, who had previously won three European Tour titles in 2025, made a successful return to the winner's circle in Munich. He overcame a determined effort from Noppert, winning four consecutive legs from 5-4 down to claim the top prize of £35,000. Aspinall averaged 100.35 and hit seven 180s to thwart Noppert's bid for his maiden European Tour crown. After surviving a match dart in his opening match against Ricardo Pietreczko, Aspinall went on to defeat Martin Schindler, Andrew Gilding, and Kevin Doets en route to the final. In the semi-finals, Aspinall produced a standout performance, averaging 106.40 to beat Doets and end a sequence of six successive defeats against the Dutchman. The victory set up a highly anticipated showdown against Noppert, which Aspinall initially dominated before Noppert staged a comeback. However, Aspinall regained his composure, winning three consecutive legs to lead 7-5, and eventually sealed the win with a clinical 128 checkout. 'I am absolutely buzzing,' Aspinall said, after equalling Phil Taylor's haul of four European Tour titles. Aspinall's win came after a challenging year, during which he had been trying to rekindle his passion for the game. The crowd in Munich played a significant role in reigniting his love for darts.
