Aspinall Claims German Darts Grand Prix Title with Victory Over Noppert

Nathan Aspinall has secured his fourth European Tour title, defeating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix. Aspinall's victory in Munich marked a return to form, as he overcame a strong challenge from Noppert to claim the £35,000 top prize. The Stockport star trailed 5-4 but won four consecutive legs to emerge victorious, averaging 100.35 and posting seven 180s. Aspinall's path to the title included wins over Ricardo Pietreczko, Martin Schindler, Andrew Gilding, and Kevin Doets. He appeared poised to cruise to victory after leading 4-1, but Noppert staged a comeback, winning four straight legs to level the match. However, Aspinall responded with three strong legs to lead 7-5, before sealing the win with a clinical 128 checkout. Aspinall's victory equalled Phil Taylor's haul of four European Tour titles, and he admitted to being 'absolutely buzzing' after the win. The BetMGM Premier League season continues with Night 10 in Brighton, featuring an all-Dutch showdown between Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen.
