Rose Draws Inspiration from Past Masters Near-Misses

Justin Rose is looking to capitalize on his past experiences at Augusta National, where he has come close to winning on multiple occasions. Despite his near-misses, Rose remains optimistic and believes that his past performances have prepared him for a potential victory. The former world No 1 has already secured a win on the PGA Tour this season and boasts an impressive record at The Masters, including a narrow loss to Rory McIlroy last year. Rose has registered 10 top-10 finishes in majors since his disappointment in 2017 and is determined to finally claim the title. "I hope my near-misses will only boost my confidence and belief that I can win at The Masters," Rose said. "I feel like I've done what it takes to win, I just haven't crossed the finish line. I don't feel like I have to find something in myself to do something different, I truly believe that." Rose is focused on the present and is not dwelling on his age, which could make him the second-oldest winner of The Masters in history if he emerges victorious this year. "I don't think about my age on a day-to-day level," Rose insisted. "I'm happy that the narrative around it is more positive than negative, for the most part. I'm motivated to keep going, keep pushing, and try to find new ways to improve my game."
