The same applies to Liverpool if they win the Champions League. Additionally, if either team wins a European trophy and finishes fifth, the sixth-placed team will qualify for the Champions League. In the event that both teams win European trophies and finish fifth and sixth, the seventh-placed team will also qualify. Nottingham Forest could also participate in the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
