Sutton Rules Out Celtic's Title Hopes, Tips Hearts or Rangers for Glory
"Celtic's chances of winning the title are slim, with Hearts and Rangers being the top contenders," Chris Sutton said, expressing his doubts about his former team's ability to secure their 14th league title since 2011. The Scottish Premiership has witnessed an intense title race, with no room for error and just five games left to play. Recently, all three teams - Hearts, Rangers, and Celtic - emerged victorious on the same weekend for the first time since January, leaving Hearts at the top of the table, one point ahead of Rangers, and Celtic two points behind. Although Celtic managed a 1-0 win against St Mirren, Sutton believes it will be a challenge for them to retain their crown. Hearts came from behind to defeat Motherwell 3-1, while Rangers staged an incredible comeback to win 6-3 at Falkirk. With all three teams set to face each other again, Sutton thinks it's unlikely Celtic will win. "The title race is impossible to predict, but I think it's between Hearts and Rangers," he stated. Meanwhile, Scott Arfield, who was part of the last Rangers squad to win a top-flight title in 2021, believes it's too early to rule out any of the contenders. "Every game is crucial from now on, and all teams need to find a way to win," he said, emphasizing that there's no room for error.
