Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive sequence of eight consecutive victories, Nicky Richards is set to field three runners at Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth win, will be among the competitors, representing the in-form Richards team. This seven-year-old has shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, as seen in his recent win at Carlisle, and will be ridden by Danny McMenamin despite being nudged up 5lbs to a mark of 100. Streamsforth Lad, meanwhile, has placed in various events but is yet to achieve a win, and will be looking to improve upon his recent performance at Bangor. Stuart Coltherd, who has enjoyed a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks, will saddle Rightbackatyou, who finished behind Scottish King over this course and distance. Young Getaway will make his chasing debut for Richards, attempting to extend the team's remarkable run in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. That One, also making his debut over fences, will be ridden by Jack Power, who claims 5lbs, effectively reducing the seven-year-old's mark to 105. Other notable runners include Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, fielded by the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination, as well as Grant Wood, who returns to his successful hunting ground of Gosforth Park. Wicket Keeper and Paddy's Day will also be in action, with the latter wearing a tongue-tie for the first time, while Albasheer, a one-time Constantine Handicap winner, will be ridden by Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won his last outing over the course and distance, will return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.
