Chelsea Secures Semi-Final Spot in Women's FA Cup, to Host Manchester City

Defending Women's FA Cup champions Chelsea are set to face Women's Super League leaders Manchester City in the semi-finals after edging out Tottenham 2-1 at Kingsmeadow. City secured their semi-final spot with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Birmingham, courtesy of Khadija Shaw's goal. Liverpool will host Brighton in the other semi-final, with both teams having won their quarter-final matches on Sunday. The semi-final ties are scheduled to take place on the weekend of May 9/10, ahead of the final on May 31. Chelsea's victory was sealed by Veerle Buurman's stunning late strike, which beat Tottenham's goalkeeper in the 86th minute. Earlier, Sam Kerr had put Chelsea ahead, only for Eveliina Summanen's cross to level the score for the visitors. Manchester City's win was thanks to Shaw's early goal, with the team holding on despite a brave fight from second-tier Birmingham.
