Laura Robson's Grueling London Marathon Prep: From Melbourne to Miami

Former British No. 1 Laura Robson, now a television presenter and analyst for Sky Sports Tennis, has been globetrotting for work while training for the London Marathon. Her journey has taken her from the scorching heat of Melbourne during the Australian Open to the freezing temperatures of Milan Cortina at the Winter Olympics, and finally to the unpredictable weather of the Miami Open. As she returns to the UK, Robson is gearing up to tackle the 26.2-mile race that will take her through iconic landmarks like the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, and Canary Wharf before finishing at Buckingham Palace. Robson admits that her training has been 'brutal' and is unsure if she can achieve her desired sub-3:30 time, but she's happy to aim for a sub-3:40 finish. To prepare, she's been focusing on a carb-heavy diet, increasing her electrolyte intake, and seeking advice from friends who are experienced runners. Robson's motivation has waned since returning home, but she's looking forward to the electric atmosphere of the marathon and is excited to support her chosen charity, Give It Your Max, which provides free tennis lessons and after-school programs for kids.
