Fury Vows to Make Makhmudov an Example

Arslanbek Makhmudov lifted Tyson Fury off the ground in a bear hug at their final press conference on Thursday, but Fury took it lightly and even playfully tickled his opponent. As Fury prepares to face Makhmudov, he is determined to start his journey to becoming a three-time world champion. Having come out of a brief retirement, Fury is on a mission to reclaim a world title, starting with this fight. He declared, "For the first time in a long time, I'm the one doing the chasing, not being chased." Fury believes he is the top contender in the division and plans to prove it repeatedly. He will eventually target the belts held by Usyk and Fabio Wardley, saying, "Sooner or later, they'll all have to face me. Who else can they fight to make any money?" At 37 years old, Fury will have to prove his doubters wrong, including his own father, who questions his ability to make a successful comeback. Fury remains confident, saying, "They all say my legs are gone, they all say my reactions are gone... Tune in on Saturday night and you'll find out." He warned that he cannot underestimate Makhmudov, saying, "I've never overlooked anyone in my life, and I've definitely not overlooked this opponent." Fury expressed his sympathy for Makhmudov, saying, "I'm going to make an example of him. I'll knock his head right off his shoulders. I'm ready to rock and roll."
