Tottenham's Relegation Fears Intensify

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher believes Tottenham Hotspur are at risk of being relegated to the Championship after their poor performance in Roberto De Zerbi's first game in charge. The team's 1-0 defeat at Sunderland has left them in the relegation zone with six games remaining, two points behind West Ham in 17th place. Despite being one of the Premier League's top teams, their survival in the top-flight is now out of their hands. Carragher stated, 'I just can't believe it. Tottenham look like they're going to go down.' The team created only 0.15 worth of Expected Goals in the second half against Sunderland and missed 0.91 worth of xG overall in the first half, failing to score. Their remaining games include matches against fellow relegation rivals Wolves and Leeds, but Carragher thinks they have 'no chance' of beating even the Premier League's bottom club away from home. Gary Neville described a potential relegation for Tottenham as a 'monstrous moment' and 'unthinkable.' He said, 'It's as interesting as the title race... The Spurs question - can they go down? Will they go down? Is this the biggest club that's ever gone down in Premier League history?' Jamie O'Hara, a former Spurs midfielder, ranked the team's chances of Premier League survival at just '10 per cent' and believes De Zerbi is not able to work 'miracles.' O'Hara stated, 'They have not won this year... It will be April 18 next weekend and Spurs haven't won in the Premier League.' He added that the players are not good enough and are not producing, which is why he cannot see them getting out of this situation. De Zerbi said after the game that Spurs have to be stronger as they are in a 'bad moment,' but one win could change their season. He expressed, 'We have to be stronger... We have to react with enthusiasm, the right spirit.'
