Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three runners to Hexham for the National Hunt action on Monday. Jamesieconn, chasing a four-timer, will be among the runners, having shown a liking for the three-mile trip and good ground in his previous win at Carlisle. The seven-year-old has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100, which may prove to be a challenge. Streamsforth Lad, despite placing in two hurdle races, a bumper, and a chase, is yet to secure a win and will be running off a mark of 97. Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou, who finished behind Scottish King over the course and distance, will also be in action. Nicky Richards' Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, a year after his defeat over hurdles to That One, who will also be making his debut over fences. Other runners include Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, trained by the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination, as well as Grant Wood, who has been successful on his two recent visits to Gosforth Park. Wicket Keeper, Paddy's Day, and Albasheer will also be competing, with the latter being ridden by Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won convincingly over the course and distance last time out, will return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.
