Prograis Warns Benn's Risk Will Ultimately Backfire

Regis Prograis believes Conor Benn is taking a risk that will not pay off when they face each other this weekend. Benn is set to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he has previously secured middleweight victories over Chris Eubank Jr, for his third consecutive fight at the venue. Prograis, a former super-lightweight world champion, is moving up to 150lbs to fight Benn at a catchweight with no rehydration limit. Prograis expressed that although the fight is on Benn's terms, he is confident in his ability to win. He noted that his entire career has been at 140lbs, making this a significant jump. Despite the challenges, Prograis is not concerned about the weight stipulations and is focused on making the fight happen. Prograis revealed that there is no rematch clause in place for his fight against Benn. However, he is open to a potential rematch if the fans demand it. He initially planned to move to 147lbs but was called to fight Benn on six weeks' notice. Fortunately, Prograis was already training, which he believes gives him an edge. Prograis does not consider Benn to be in his league, stating that he is a better fighter. He described Benn as an 'okay' fighter, neither great nor bad. Prograis highlighted his own accomplishments, including being a two-time world champion and ranked number one in the world twice. Prograis aims to use a victory over Benn as a stepping stone to another world title shot. He believes that a win will open up numerous opportunities for him and is determined to become a three-time champion.
