Total Prize Fund for Women's T20 World Cup Confirmed

A 10 per cent increase in the total prize fund has been announced by the International Cricket Council for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in England and Wales this summer. The winners of the tournament will receive $2.34m, while the runners-up will take home $1.17m. All participating teams are guaranteed a minimum of $247,500, more than double the amount from 2024. This development comes as England prepares to host the tournament, with the first match scheduled to take place in just 60 days. The growth of women's cricket has led to increased investment and opportunities, with the ICC Women's T20 World Cup expanding to 12 teams and boasting a record-breaking prize pool.
