Alistair Johnston Returns to Training, Julian Araujo's Celtic Career May Be Over

Celtic's long-term injured player Alistair Johnston has resumed training, while loan defender Julian Araujo may have played his final game for the club due to a setback in his recovery from a thigh problem. Johnston, who has been out since October with a hamstring injury, joined his teammates at the club's training complex ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill expressed optimism about Johnston's progress, stating that he trained with the team without any issues and could be ready to return to action soon. However, O'Neill revealed that Araujo's injury has worsened, and he may not play for Celtic again this season. The manager also confirmed that right-back Colby Donovan will miss the upcoming match with a hamstring injury and may also be sidelined for the Scottish Cup tie. Meanwhile, the Green Brigade, Celtic's ultras group, will return to Celtic Park after a five-month ban, which O'Neill believes will provide a boost to the team. The club remains in pursuit of Hearts and Rangers at the top of the table, with O'Neill acknowledging that being in Hearts' position would be advantageous with games running out.
