Johnston Returns to Training, but Araujo's Celtic Career May Be Over

Celtic's long-term injury absentee, Alistair Johnston, has resumed training with the team, while loan defender Julian Araujo's season may be over due to a setback in his recovery from a thigh injury. Johnston, who has been out since October with a hamstring issue, joined his teammates at the club's Lennoxtown training facility ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. Meanwhile, Araujo, who is on loan from Bournemouth, has suffered a relapse in his recovery and may not feature for Celtic again this season. According to Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, 'Julian re-injured himself under supervision at Bournemouth, which was a significant blow.' O'Neill also provided an update on right-back Colby Donovan, who will miss the match against St Mirren due to a hamstring injury, but is recovering well. The Celtic manager expressed his pleasure at the return of the Green Brigade, the team's ultras group, after a five-month ban was lifted. The Hoops are currently third in the Scottish Premiership, three points behind leaders Hearts, and O'Neill acknowledged that being in Hearts' position would be preferable, given their lead with limited games remaining.
