Benn Sets Sights on Garcia for World Title Shot

Following his victory over Regis Prograis, Conor Benn expressed his eagerness to face WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia in his next bout. Benn secured a unanimous decision win against Prograis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite suffering cuts from several head clashes. After the fight, Benn immediately turned his attention to Garcia, stating, 'Garcia, I want my belt! Keep my belt warm.' Garcia, who won the WBC welterweight title in February, responded positively to the challenge, saying, 'I'm down. Garcia vs Benn. Let's do it.' Benn's win over Prograis, which improved his record to 25-1, was at a catchweight of 3lb above the welterweight limit. Benn is now focused on moving down to 147lb to challenge Garcia for the title, having fought most of his career at welterweight with his only professional loss coming at 160lb against Chris Eubank Jr.
