Aspinall Claims German Darts Grand Prix Title After Stunning Upsets

Nathan Aspinall secured his fourth European Tour title by defeating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix on Monday. Earlier in the competition, Michael van Gerwen's title defense came to an abrupt end when he was upset 6-1 by local favorite Niko Springer in the second round on Sunday. Other notable early exits included Gian van Veen, who lost 6-2 to William O'Connor, as well as Ryan Searle and Damon Heta. Aspinall, a three-time European Tour winner in 2025, ultimately prevailed in Munich, overcoming a determined challenge from Noppert to claim the £35,000 top prize.
