Gary Player Offers Support to Tiger Woods but Urges Caution
Tiger Woods has received support from golf legends Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus as he focuses on his health and recovery. Woods, a 15-time major champion, is currently absent from the sport due to health issues and a recent car accident. Player expressed sympathy for Woods' ongoing pain but advised him to exercise caution and consider hiring a chauffeur to avoid driving while taking medication. Nicklaus also offered words of encouragement, stating that golf needs Woods and wishes for his return to the sport. Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley confirmed the organization's support for Woods' decision to prioritize his health and well-being. Woods has been struggling with injuries and has only participated in 11 official tournaments since November 2020, with his last competitive appearance being at The Open in July 2024.
