Robson's Grueling London Marathon Prep: A Journey from Melbourne to Miami

Laura Robson, a Sky Sports Tennis presenter and former British No 1, has been training for the London Marathon in April, juggling her television role with intense running sessions in various locations, including Melbourne, Milan Cortina, and Miami. Despite the challenges, Robson is determined to push through and complete the 26.2-mile race. In a recent interview, she expressed her concerns about the difficulty of the marathon, stating, 'I am training for the London Marathon and it's brutal! I don't know why people do this.' Robson has been using her Garmin and Strava to track her progress and is aiming for a sub-3:40 finish. To prepare, she has been focusing on a carb-rich diet and increasing her electrolyte intake to stay hydrated. Robson has also been seeking advice from fellow athletes, including Padel players, on how to maintain a consistent pace during the marathon. Although she has been training mostly alone due to her work schedule, Robson is looking forward to the energetic atmosphere of the London Marathon and is excited to support her chosen charity, Give It Your Max, which provides free tennis lessons and breakfast clubs for kids.
