Aspinall Claims German Darts Grand Prix Title with 8-5 Win Over Noppert

Nathan Aspinall has won his fourth European Tour title, defeating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix. Aspinall, who has now equalled Phil Taylor's haul of four European Tour titles, came from behind to secure the £35,000 top prize. The Stockport star averaged 100.35 and posted seven 180s to overcome Noppert, who had staged a spirited fightback. Aspinall's victory marked a return to winning ways, having survived a match dart in his opening match against Ricardo Pietreczko. He then accounted for Martin Schindler, Andrew Gilding, and Kevin Doets en route to the final. Aspinall admitted he was 'absolutely buzzing' after the win, which came after a difficult year. The German Darts Grand Prix was held in Munich, with Aspinall emerging victorious on Monday. The win sets him up for the rest of the darts season, with the Premier League Darts season continuing with Night 10 in Brighton on Thursday.
