Augusta National Masters Leaderboard: Final Results

The final leaderboard for The Masters, the first major golf tournament of the year, held at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, is now available. Rory McIlroy, the defending champion, made history by successfully defending his title, becoming the first player to do so since Tiger Woods. McIlroy's victory came after a thrilling playoff win over Justin Rose the previous year, making him the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam. World No 1 Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite to win the tournament for the third time but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley all tied for third place, while Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, and Xander Schauffele rounded out the top 10. The Masters is the first of four major golf tournaments in as many months, followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and The Open. The PGA Tour will next head to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island, where Justin Thomas will return as the defending champion.
