Fury Aims for Devastating Knockout to Prove His Return to Form
Tyson Fury is seeking a crushing knockout victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov to demonstrate his return to peak form. Following a year of retirement after his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury is set to make his comeback against Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He has been training in Thailand and is confident that he will be revitalized for the fight. "I'm just doing what I've done before, but this time I'm bringing back things that I haven't been doing lately. If a 37-year-old Tyson Fury can do what a 27-year-old Tyson Fury did, then I'm really putting things together honestly," Fury told Sky Sports. He added, "I want a brutal knockout over Makhmudov. It's going to be fun." Former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, who has been in camp with Fury, said, "The training here is very difficult, but it's great to see Tyson perform in the ring against sparring partners and smash everyone up. He's in tip-top shape, and I'm excited to watch him fight." Fury believes his time away from boxing has only fueled his motivation. "When you start out, you want to make money and get the things you want, but after that, you do it because you love it. I'm in a position where I do it because I love it, not for financial reasons. Having 16 months out of the ring has made me even more passionate about the game," Fury said. He also reflected on his journey, saying, "It's incredible what an individual can achieve. I'm an unlikely champion, but I've changed my life and achieved everything I wanted to do."
