Instead, the tour has offered a route back for players who are willing to meet certain conditions, such as playing on the Korn Ferry Tour for a year. Watson argues that the players who left for LIV Golf violated the tour's rules by not protecting its sponsors, and that their decision to return to the PGA Tour is a result of their desire for competition and adrenaline. Reed, who recently announced his departure from LIV Golf, has confirmed that he will be playing on the DP World Tour until he is eligible to rejoin the PGA Tour, citing his desire to compete against the best players in the world.
