Sutton Rules Out Celtic's Title Hopes, Tips Hearts or Rangers for Victory
Former Celtic player Chris Sutton has expressed his doubts about Celtic's ability to win the title, stating it's now a two-horse race between Hearts and Rangers. Sutton's comments come after a thrilling weekend in the Scottish Premiership, where all three teams secured wins. Despite Celtic's 1-0 victory over St Mirren, Sutton believes they are unlikely to claim their 14th league title since 2011. Hearts currently top the table, one point ahead of Rangers, with Celtic trailing by two points. Sutton's assessment is that Celtic face an uphill battle to retain their crown, saying 'it's impossible to predict, but I think it's between Hearts and Rangers.' He also noted that the next few games will be crucial, with each team needing to win to stay in contention. Rangers player Scott Arfield, however, is more cautious, refusing to rule out any of the contenders and emphasizing the importance of taking it one game at a time.
