Celtic's Johnston Returns to Training, While Araujo's Season May Be Over

Celtic has welcomed back long-term injured player Alistair Johnston to training, but the club may have seen the last of loan defender Julian Araujo. Johnston, a right-back for Canada, has been out of action since October due to a hamstring injury. He rejoined his teammates at the Lennoxtown training complex ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren. Meanwhile, Araujo, who plays for Mexico, has suffered a setback in his recovery from a thigh problem and may not play for Celtic again this season. According to Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, Johnston's return to training was encouraging, and he may be available for selection soon. However, Araujo's injury has dealt a blow to the team, and O'Neill does not expect him to play again this season. The club is also dealing with other injuries, including a hamstring injury to right-back Colby Donovan, who will miss the upcoming match against St Mirren. Despite these challenges, O'Neill is pleased to see the return of the Green Brigade, a group of Celtic fans who have been banned from Celtic Park since October. The team is currently third in the Scottish Premiership, three points behind leaders Hearts, and O'Neill acknowledges that it is a challenging title race.
