In the second half, Warrington continued to dominate, scoring points six minutes in when Leigh were penalized for offside, and Sneyd sent over the penalty conversion. Leigh lacked resilience, and in the 55th minute, Williams had his moment, dancing and weaving before diving in under the sticks, with his half-back partner converting again for a 32-0 lead. The points continued to flow for the home team, with Ashton showcasing his acrobatic skills to dive over on the edge, although Sneyd was unable to convert for the first time. Following a brilliant 40/20, Leigh eventually managed to score through Cook, bringing the score to 36-6. However, Warrington quickly responded when Powell barged in under the sticks with seven minutes remaining. In a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Leigh head coach Adrian Lam stated, 'It was tough to watch. We had a lot of late changes and people playing out of position, but we were probably our own worst enemy. We made it really difficult from the start.'
