Northampton Advances to Champions Cup Quarterfinals with Hard-Fought Win Over Castres

Northampton secured a spot in the Champions Cup quarterfinals with a thrilling 49-41 victory over Castres. The French team, Castres, initially took a 12-0 lead within the first 10 minutes, courtesy of tries from Christian Ambadiang and Theo Chabouni. However, Northampton was awarded a penalty try after Ambadiang received a yellow card for a high tackle, allowing them to get back into the game. Despite being reduced to 13 players due to a yellow card given to lock Guillaume Ducat, Castres managed to extend their lead with a penalty. Danilo Fischetti scored a try for Northampton, leaving them trailing 15-14 at halftime. The hosts took the lead for the first time in the second half when Josh Kemeny scored, and further extended it with a try from Tommy Freeman.
