Rams Wide Receiver Puka Nacua Enters Rehab Amid Assault Allegations

Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua has entered a rehabilitation program, a decision made before a woman filed a lawsuit against him alleging assault, battery, and making an antisemitic remark, his attorney has revealed. According to attorney Levi McCathern, Nacua had been in rehab for a significant period before the allegations surfaced and is expected to remain there for some time. The lawsuit, which also claims gender violence and negligence, was filed in March in Los Angeles by plaintiff Madison Atiabi. Atiabi alleges that Nacua made an antisemitic statement on New Year's Eve, which caused her emotional distress, and that he bit her on the shoulder, leaving teeth marks, later that night. Additionally, she claims Nacua bit her friend's thumb. McCathern has denied that Nacua made any antisemitic remarks, describing the biting incidents as 'horseplay.' This is not Nacua's first encounter with controversy; he apologized in December for making a gesture with antisemitic connotations during an online livestream. Despite these allegations, Nacua's attorney assures that he will complete his rehabilitation program in time to participate in the Rams' organized team activities, which are set to begin on April 20. Nacua, one of the most productive receivers in NFL history over his first three seasons, is eligible for a contract extension with the Rams this offseason.
