England Rugby League Seeks New Head Coach with Sinfield on Advisory Panel

Kevin Sinfield has been named as part of the interview panel tasked with finding the next England rugby league head coach, following Shaun Wane's departure in January. Wane stepped down after six years at the helm, during which England suffered a disappointing defeat to Australia in the Ashes. The panel, which also includes new RFL non-executive director Sara Symington, interim RFL chief executive Abi Ekoku, and RFL chair Nigel Wood, will be supported by RFL executive director of performance and participation Marc Lovering. Sinfield, a former Golden Boot winner and England captain, brings invaluable knowledge and expertise to the process. The new head coach will initially take on a part-time role, covering the World Cup, which kicks off for England against Tonga on October 20. The RFL has received applications from a range of high-caliber coaches, both domestically and from the NRL, and will conduct interviews to narrow down the shortlist and find the ideal candidate.
