Novak Djokovic Pulls Out of Monte-Carlo Masters Tournament

Novak Djokovic, a two-time champion at the Monte-Carlo Masters, has announced his withdrawal from the tournament, according to the event's organisers. The 38-year-old Serbian player cited a right shoulder injury as the reason for his withdrawal, which also forced him to pull out of the Miami Open. Djokovic's last competition was at Indian Wells, where he lost to Jack Draper in the round of 16. The 24-time Grand Slam winner has previously won the Monte-Carlo Masters titles in 2013 and 2015. He is scheduled to participate in the Mutua Madrid Open, another clay ATP Masters 1000 event, which will take place from April 22 to May 3. Other players who have withdrawn from the tournament include Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton, both due to injuries. In other news, Gael Monfils and Moise Kouame have received wild cards for the tournament, along with Stan Wawrinka and Matteo Berrettini. The tournament will run from April 5-12, featuring defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Cameron Norrie, and Jack Draper.
