Gassiev Open to Itauma Fight, But Fears Upset by Franklin

Murat Gassiev is willing to consider a WBA title bout against Moses Itauma, provided the British heavyweight prospect maintains his undefeated streak this weekend. As the holder of the WBA regular title, Gassiev could potentially face Itauma, who is ranked number one in the WBA ratings. However, Gassiev is uncertain about his next opponent, stating, 'I don't know, maybe.' He believes that American contender Jermaine Franklin has a chance to upset Itauma's plans when they face off on Saturday in Manchester. Gassiev thinks that the outcome of the fight is unpredictable, saying, 'It's the heavyweight division, big guys, good punchers, good power, and I don't know what'll happen.' He expects to box again in the summer, with a planned fight in July, and is currently training while awaiting the outcome of other top fighters' bouts.
