O'Sullivan, seeking a record-extending 42nd title in his 66th ranking final, initially took a commanding 4-0 lead. However, Un-Nooh mounted an impressive comeback, winning six consecutive frames to turn the tables. O'Sullivan then regained the lead with a trio of consecutive century breaks, including scores of 114, 102, and 136, to go 7-6 ahead. Un-Nooh once again rose to the challenge, securing the next four frames, including three centuries, with the final one being a maximum break that put him 9-7 up and paved the way for a memorable win. This triumph makes Un-Nooh the second Thai player to claim a full-format ranking event, following in the footsteps of James Wattana. Earlier in the tournament, O'Sullivan achieved the highest break in professional snooker, hitting an incredible 153.
