Rangers' Striking Concerns Raised by Kris Boyd Amidst Title Run-In

Former Rangers player Kris Boyd has expressed concerns over the team's ability to win the Scottish Premiership title due to a lack of quality among their strikers. Following Rangers' 1-0 win over St Mirren, Boyd criticized the performance of Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi, stating that they do not possess the necessary skills to lead the team to victory. Chermiti, who was named player of the month for February, has scored eight of his nine goals this season against top teams, but missed a crucial chance against St Mirren. Naderi, a January signing, has failed to find the net in seven games. Boyd questioned the decision to play with two strikers, suggesting that it may be hindering the team's performance. He believes that the team lacks a striker who can demand the ball and create opportunities for the wingers. Boyd's comments were echoed by James McFadden, who stated that the two forwards need to alter their individual play to get the most out of their partnership. Despite his criticism, Boyd has switched his title tip back to Rangers, citing their opportunity to gain six points from their upcoming home games. McFadden, however, refused to make a prediction, stating that the team that handles the pressure of the run-in best will lift the title in May.
