Season-Ending Injury Sidelines England's Jaz Brown from Commonwealth Games
A serious injury has forced England's Jaz Brown to withdraw from the upcoming Commonwealth Games and the remainder of the Netball Super League season. According to England Netball and NIC Leeds Rhinos, Brown sustained an Achilles injury during a recent NSL game against Nottingham Forest, necessitating surgical intervention. The road to recovery will be lengthy, ruling her out of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Brown remains optimistic, stating, "Although this is a tough moment, I'm staying positive and more determined than ever to return to the sport I love, stronger than before. I welcome challenges and look forward to using this time to grow mentally and physically, with my focus on the 2027 season." Despite the setback, Brown is grateful for the support she has received and is confident that this is not the end of her netball career.
