Trial of Driver Involved in Fatal Crash That Killed Anthony Joshua's Team Members Adjourned

The court proceedings against Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver implicated in the fatal car accident that claimed the lives of two of Anthony Joshua's team members, have been postponed until next month. Kayode, 46, faces four charges, including dangerous driving causing death and operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license. The case was adjourned at the request of the prosecution after initial proceedings were heard at the Sagamu Magistrate's Court in Ogun State, Nigeria. The accident occurred on December 29, resulting in the deaths of Joshua's personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. Joshua, who was also injured in the crash, was treated in hospital before being released on New Year's Eve and has since returned to London. Kayode was granted bail and is expected to appear in court again on February 25. Meanwhile, Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has stated that the boxer should be given time and space to heal and make his own decisions about his future in the sport.
