Tuur Rommens Signs with Rangers

The Rangers have finalized the transfer of left-back Tuur Rommens from Westerlo, securing his services on an initial three-and-a-half-year contract. This move marks head coach Danny Röhl's second signing of the January transfer window, following the acquisition of midfielder Tochi Chukwuani, with the deal valued at over £3m. Although Rommens is eligible to play for Rangers immediately, the club plans to manage his early involvement cautiously due to a previous injury. The Ibrox side is reportedly unworried about the situation, given the impressive performance of current left-back Jayden Meghoma under Röhl's guidance. Rommens, who made 79 appearances for Westerlo over the past two years, is expected to be fully fit for selection within three to four weeks. Rangers had been tracking the 22-year-old, who has earned nine caps for the Belgium U21s, and he expressed his excitement about joining the club, stating, 'I'm very happy to be here. It's a dream to play for a club like this, and I only have positive feelings.' Rommens added that the club's interest in him was a significant factor in his decision, saying, 'Everyone knows Rangers, and when a club like this is interested in you, you want to be part of this club.
