The upcoming boxing match between Moses Itauma and Jermaine Franklin, initially set for January 24 at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena, has been rescheduled for March 28. Itauma, a 20-year-old British heavyweight, suffered an injury during his training camp, prompting the postponement. Queensberry Promotions announced the change of plans on social media, stating that the 'Magnificent 7 show' would now take place in March at the same venue. Itauma boasts an impressive professional record, with 13 wins and 11 stoppages, including a notable victory against Dillian Whyte in Saudi Arabia last August. Franklin, on the other hand, has gone the distance with notable boxers like Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. The WBA has ordered Itauma to face Murat Gassiev, while also being slated for a WBC final eliminator against Lawrence Okolie. Itauma's team has expressed interest in a potential fight against Oleksandr Usyk, citing the young boxer's willingness to take on challenging opponents.
