Tottenham Reach Agreement to Acquire Conor Gallagher

Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid have finalized a £34m deal for the transfer of Conor Gallagher. Following Rodrigo Bentancur's season-ending hamstring injury, Spurs were reportedly seeking a midfielder. Both Aston Villa and Tottenham expressed interest in acquiring Gallagher from Atletico, but negotiations now favor the North London club. Tottenham has long been an admirer of Gallagher, dating back to his signing with Atletico in August 2024 for approximately £38m. The 25-year-old England international is contracted to Atletico until 2029. With 136 Premier League appearances under his belt from his time at West Brom, Crystal Palace, and Chelsea, Gallagher brings substantial experience to the table.
