Terry Yorath, a renowned midfielder for Leeds and Wales, has passed away at the age of 75 following a brief illness, according to a statement from his family. Born in Cardiff, Yorath played a pivotal role in Leeds' First Division title win under Don Revie before moving on to Coventry, Tottenham, and Bradford. As a midfielder, he earned 59 caps for Wales between 1969 and 1981 and later managed the national team from 1988. Yorath's tenure as manager saw Wales reach their highest FIFA ranking of 27 in August 1993, narrowly missing out on the 1994 World Cup. His family described him as a 'quiet, kind, and gentle man' who will be deeply missed. Leeds United expressed their condolences, stating that Yorath was a 'club legend' and that their thoughts are with his family and former teammates.
