Chelsea Names Liam Rosenior as New Head Coach on Long-Term Deal

Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as its new head coach, with the manager signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2032. Rosenior joins Chelsea from Strasbourg, where he previously served as head coach. Upon his appointment, Rosenior expressed his humility and honor at being chosen to lead the club, highlighting Chelsea's unique spirit and history of winning trophies. He will oversee his first match as head coach in the FA Cup third-round tie against Charlton Athletic. Prior to his managerial career, Rosenior had a 16-year playing career with several clubs, including Bristol City, Fulham, and Brighton. After retiring in 2018, he went on to manage Hull City and then Strasbourg, where he developed his coaching style and philosophy. Rosenior's appointment follows the departure of former boss Enzo Maresca, who left the club on January 1. The new head coach is aware of the challenges ahead but is excited for the opportunity to lead Chelsea and is confident in his ability to make a positive impact.
